SHELTER HOME WORK

Open shelter homes become an important stop for children who have run away from home, been lost or abandoned, gone missing, or children who are found in vulnerable situations when they lose their first line of protection – their family and home. From paying equal attention to their nutrition intake, health check-ups, non-formal education, psycho-social support and medical needs, we work to build homes away from home, that are robust, child-friendly and safe homes for children across the country, before they are repatriated back with their families or referred to long-term care homes.

Over the last 12 years, we have protected 116682 children from immediate dangers at railway stations and have provided facilities a host of safety and care services though our safe open shelters.
