Ukranian artist Snezhana Soosh created heartwarming water colour illustrations on the beauty and magic of a father-daughter relationship. “I drew what I lacked and very much wanted — to feel loved and protected by my big papa,” she said in a Huffington Post article that shed light on her inspiration behind her “Dad by my side” series. With an eye on the routine interactions between father and daughter, these illustrations evoke an emotion that only a father and daughter can really understand.

Among all the chaos, his heart does all the healing, no one but he understands, all her unsaid feelings.

When he enacts a puppet show, he gives her smile an effervescent glow.

To fall asleep by the phone, she cannot miss a single lullaby when he is away from home.

She loves the days he works from home, around him, she finds reasons to roam.

Sitting in his arms is her greatest treasure, being read her favourite book, an unparalleled pleasure.

His shoulders are her favorite ride, he is her favorite tribe.

He gave her many a lesson to meet and greet, and to always help people when in need.

Peekaboo! I see you! The love between them two, will never be new.

His love and affection, makes her strong, through thick and thin, she’s got him along.

He showed her how to do her best, with him by my side, she could handle the rest.

He felt in his heart, it wouldn’t work out, but for his little one, he did try it out.

The little things he did made her happy, no wonder why she loves no one like her Daddy!
