Our bingo challenge – Where were you at age 14, sheds light on the privileges many of us had as children, that is not afforded by many others. With 10.1 million children between 5-14 years, labouring through their childhoods, it raises a serious number of questions and concerns regarding the multiplied impact the Covid19 pandemic would lend to this already challenging issue.
Only time will tell the gravity of this situation on the lives of children…but unless we unpack the realities that exist on the ground, we cannot catalyze collective action. Our campaign, The Labouring Childhood, is an attempt to generate deeper conversations on this looming issue.
